- Find the minimum and maximum values
- Find the range
- Identify a cluster in a set of data
- Find the mean
- Find the mode
- Find the median
- Compare two sets of data by using the “measures of center” (median and mean)
- Decide whether the mean or the median of a data set is a better measure of what is “typical”
- Explain how the mean and median of a data set would be affected by new data values (values greater than and less than the mean or median)
