I earned my Master of Arts in Education: Mathematics Education Enhancement and Leadership Degree at the University of Michigan - Dearborn December 2015. My undergraduate degree is from Central Michigan University, a Bachelor of Science in Education, Math major, History minor. I completed my student teaching internship in Romeo, Michigan and in London, England. Before becoming a teacher here at Norup, I was a mathematics instructor for St. Clair County Community College for three years. I also coached middle school track as well as sideline and competitive cheerleading for three years for Almont Community Schools.
In 2013, I was able to represent Norup International abroad, as I visited our sister school, Ken Stimpson Community School in Peterborough, England as well as its feeder school, William Law CE Primary School. I returned in February 2015, accompanying fellow staff and students - it was an unbelievable experience! I was fortunate enough to travel with students in February 2016 to Belize, and to Ireland and Scotland with Berkley staff and students this past February. I am a member of the Oakland County Educational Technology Leadership Committee as a representative for Berkley School District and am currently enrolled in the Aspiring Principals' Leadership Academy. I am thrilled to be a part of the Norup staff and the Berkley community and am eager to begin another year as a Hawk! |
